The Sporting News college preview magazine hit the newsstands this week and Washington's Abdul Gaddy and Washington State's Faisal Aden grace the Northwest regional covers.

There's plenty of expectations surrounding Gaddy, who is attempting a comeback from a season-ending knee injury suffered in January.

Today the junior co-captain announced he's been cleared to play after eight months of rehabilitation.

Aden, a junior-college transfer from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla. last season, is the leading returning scorer on a WSU team that lost Pac-10 scoring champion Klay Thompson.

It's interesting to note Gaddy and Aden were tabbed by the Sporting News for the cover considering there's many players vying for role of leading man on both teams.

The Huskies certainly have plenty of options which include: sophomore guard Terrence Ross, freshman guard Tony Wroten Jr., senior forward Darnell Gant and wings Scott Suggs and C.J. Wilcox.

Still it's a credit to Gaddy that many believe he's poised for a breakout season after appearing in just 13 games last season. He averaged 8.5 points, 3.8 assists and 2.5 seasons.
