So long as YouTube exists, fans will inadvertently embarrass themselves whilst making their teams more hateable by way of musical tributes.
The latest such installment came via a young man named Blake Campbell. He sent his dedication to the Blue Devils across Twitter yesterday, and it was subsequently spread by Duke players Nolan Smith and Seth Curry on the same platform. It's the "Duke Basketball Rap," officially, and it's 37 kinds of awesome.
The young man admits Greg Paulus "changed his life" shortly after bluntly and simply admitting, "I don't even go to Duke. I go to Furman."
If that doesn't sum up 90 percent of that program's fanbase, I don't know what does.
He has no shame and only love in his heart. Bless him for that. Heck of an output, though I thought Jay-Z put Auto-Tune on its deathbed? Regardless, that technology needs to go the way of the Dodo bird.
Because of this video, I think Duke haters just saw the signal in the sky for the return of the college basketball season. Bring it on.
