Former BYU guard Jimmer Fredette can do it all. He can break you down off the dribble, hit a 35-foot jumpshot and apparently help America win the war on terrorism.
At least that's what the folks in Provo, Utah, would have you believe.
On the overpass at the bottom of the hill as you enter Provo from University Parkway, BYU fans gave terrorist Osama bin Laden the same treatment as they have opponents such as San Diego State, Gonzaga and countless others:
"Osama got Jimmered"
The term "Jimmered" became popular as Fredette would drop 30, 40 and sometimes 50 points on opponents as he helped his team to victory. Obviously, this particular sentiment speaks to Sunday's news that American forces killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
Now, we're pretty sure Fredette didn't leave his NBA draft training to join the Navy SEALs (though if he did it would undoubtedly be in his reality show), but it just goes to show that with Fredette, BYU fans believe anything is possible.
