Thomas could be shortest player drafted since Nate Robinson

Isaiah Thomas is short by NBA standards. That's no surprise. League scouts and executives discovered just how short he was yesterday at the pre-draft combine.

Thomas measured 5 feet 8 3/4 inches without shoes and 5-10 1/4 with shoes.

If taken in the June 23 draft, the Washington junior would be the second shortest player selected in since 1989, according to DraftExpress.com. Former Husky standout Nate Robinson stood 5-7 3/4 without shoes and 5-9 in shoes.

DE's database does not include players before 1989.

Other Pac-10 players at the combine included Washington State junior Klay Thompson who shot the ball well and appears to be a lock to go somewhere in the first round. USC junior Niklola Vucevic was the tallest player at the camp and could move into the first round.

UCLA's Malcolm Lee tied for the tallest point guard honors and apparently he's recovered from offseason knee surgery.
