Top recruit to John Calipari: Why don't you call me anymore?

Maybe Tony Wroten really was curious why Kentucky suddenly stopped recruiting him this summer. Maybe the highly regarded high school point guard simply wanted to go public with his displeasure.

Whatever the reason, the always outspoken Wroten took the unique approach of questioning Kentucky coach John Calipari about the subject via Twitter on Monday night.

Calipari not surprisingly has yet to publicly respond, so Wroten remains in the dark at why Kentucky lost interest in a point guard ranked as the Class of 2011's 30th best recruit by Rivals.com. The Seattle product will announce his college choice on Thursday, with Louisville and Washington the two favorites and Villanova, UConn and Seattle University all still in contention.

This isn't the first time Wroten has raised eyebrows with his tweets. Earlier this summer, he questioned why Washington coach Lorenzo Romar was at more of his AAU games than Calipari and he claimed national recruiting rankings should cease to exist if he wasn't in the top five.

Regardless of where Wroten winds up, let's hope he gets a shot at Kentucky during his freshman year. The Wildcats certainly won't be lacking for young talent with their stable of highly ranked Class of 2011 recruits, but it would be fun to watch Wroten try to show Calipari what he's missing.
