Isaiah Thomas picked for preseason Naismith Award list

Isaiah Thomas is one of three Pac-10 players selected as a candidate for the Naismith Award as chosen by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.

The list is comprised of 50 players who, based on last year's individual performance and expectations for this season, are the early frontrunners for college basketball's player-of-the-year award.

Thomas averaged 16.9 points last season as a sophomore. After two games, he's averaging 13.0 points, which is tied for 18th in the Pac-10 Conference.

Washington State's Klay Thompson and Arizona's Derrick Williams were also selected to the Naismith list.

The complete list is at the bottom of this post.
